In Israel, known as "Sweetie". Mid winter Oroblanco produces sweet seedless fruit even in areas of low summer heat. Huge, intensely fragrant flowers and attractive glossy foliage.

Grapefruits and Pummelos develop the best tasting fruit in areas with warm summer temperatures. The exception is Oroblanco which sweetens without summer heat.


Dwarf tree produces normal size fruit.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 8 - 12  ft x 4 ft

PLANT TYPE: Fruit Tree- Dwarf/Tropical
tolerates to 32 F degrees.

GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: Full sun- part shade
WATER: medium, let surface dry before water
Do NOT like wet feet
SOIL: well drain soil mixture slightly acid. Repot with fresh soil every 1-3 yrs. to maintain root health.

BLOOMS: Huge, intensely fragrant flowers in spring when plant reaches 3 years old


FRUIT  AND  SEED: fruit in winter, sweet and seedless. Citrus are self pollinated.

KEY FEATURES:  Huge fragrant flowers, white flesh fruit without seeds. Dark green glossy leaves. Fruit sweetens without summer heat, not a problem around here. Thorns in young plants.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

    Potted in a 9” clay pot, upper roots just beneath the soil level.
Fertilized with Miracid (30-10-10)  plus liquid Iron every two weeks during winter.
Glasshouse temperatures has been above 48F. 
Few older leaves have yellow patches, curve in. Perhaps too much water. weather has been overcast, damp/rain and cold.
Replaced soil that seem never to dry out. Plant looks better after few weeks, new branch growth start to show.
