A year cycle in the life of ...... at Stonehenge

Mature plants (20) planted during initial landscape.
-Plants did well first summer, however, frond turn brown in high heat.
-Late in growth at spring time, few plants by mid June are still without a single frond but they do not act dead (?). Other ferns as Ostrich so far appear more suitable for this garden. Plants do not stay green in winter.

Tassel fern is an evergreen fern that is native to Japan and southern Korea. It features shiny, bipinnate, dark green fronds (to 1-2’ long) with finely divided but overlapping pinnae. It grows in an outward-spreading, vase-shaped clump to 24” tall and 24” wide.

Crown rot may occur in poorly drained soils, particularly in winter.
