A deciduous shrub for milder areas. In late summer clusters of flowers form at the ends of the stems and become even more prominent after leaf drop. The flower clusters are covered with silky white hairs, and from a distance, the shrub appears to be in bloom all winter. In late winter, however, the flowers finally open, showing their true golden-yellow color and releasing a pleasant fragrance, which reminds us that Edgeworthia is a Daphne relative.
