In this area a perennial plant that promise to grow fast with attractive foliage and orange flowers that hang like bells from a top.


There are various cultivars with a range of spotted (variegated) leaves.

Climate zones of tolerance differs in the information available. I had no chance to test this plant since our property flooded badly at end of the summer 2005. Plant did not survive and I will not replace it. Flooding here is likely.

As observed in Coastal NC. BLOOMS: orange blooms in spring, summer and fall. None observed during the short period I had this plant. FRUIT AND SEED: N/A KEY FEATURES: fast growing. Nice variegated leaves, spotted more than the typical edge coloring. Very attractive foliage. Flowers hang like bells.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch Planted in lower deck bed. September 2005 our property was hit a a hurricane that flooded the yard badly. Plant did not survive the flood and for that reason I will not replaced. Floods are a regular feature in our location.
