Paula and I have exchange Day-lilies from our yards over the years.

In spite of having close to 50 different ones already, a new variety is always welcome.


I placed this one in bed #6 West yard. A bed that receives plenty of sun, high ground and dryer that most beds in my yard.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: 2- 2.5 ft x 2 ft

PLANT TYPE: Perennial

GROWTH RATE: Moderate

TEXTURE: medium

LIGHT: full sun to part shade

WATER: medium

SOIL: high Organic, average
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS: A bright orange color with slight ruffle edges and a faint pale white rib midpetals. This flower can’t be pass un-noticed. Mid june bloomer

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A

KEY FEATURES: abundant blooms on strong up right stalks.
Similar, perhaps the same as plant #47 “Spellbinder”.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

    This plant has gone un-noticed for the past couple of years. 
-2013 June, on a cloudy day, the bright orange color of the bloom stands out on a way that can’t  be miss. lant is about 2 ft. tall and about 2 ft diameter. Abundant blooms.
