HEIGHT X SPREAD: compact, head forming
PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold
LIGHT: filtered light, only.

WATER: moist but well  drained, 
high humidity 60-70 %
Place in shallow plate with water.... observe if plant agrees?

SOIL: keep plant moise but not wet. Leave aerial roots and pseudobulbs as naturally trailing.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:twin flowers of bright red color ith speck patterns. Multiple stems forming each carries twin blooms.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.


KEY FEATURES:attractive wondering pseudobulbs and bright blooms.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant purchased in a 5” shallow lastic pot with some bark and covered in green growing moss. some pseudobulbs hang out the pot with aireal roots. Recommended not to cover exposed roots. 
-I have placed the pot in a shallow ceramic late with about 1/4” of water to provide moisture at all times. 
-Jan. 2016: (1) 5” plastic pot kept in shallow water pan.
-Feb. 2017: (1) Pk. 5” round/ shallow. Kept in plate with shallow water.
-Jan. 17, 2018: moved plant to mount:(1) (2 ft long treefern Toten pole)
Oct. 2020: Many blooms together and in sequence.
-Summer 2023: water or mist daily during summers and at least twice per week during the year.
