In general Hard cane den. are tall strong canes with few large blooms, this one produces very tall canes.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: compact/ short

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold

LIGHT: very bright light
WATER:  plenty of water and fertilizer in active growth
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix in a well drain pot.
I like to use tall clay pots or wood baskets.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   small pink phal. type blooms. Late fall/ winter bloomer.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

KEY FEATURES: hybrid.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant purchased at Orchid show at Duke Gardens, in bloom in 2 1/2 inch square pot with small bark.
Jan. 2016: (1) 2.5” plastic pot, still in bloom.
Feb. 2017:(1) clay 2.5”T, in bloom.
Sept. 2018: In bloom with beautiful spike, the pot fell and broke the spike. in need of repotting with many nice aerial roots I tranfered the plant removing the clay pot to a 6” woodbasket.
(1) 6” WBk.
Oct. 27, 2023: Remove 10 small keikies from plant and mounted them into:
5 @ WT/corked top, 2 @ GV/descending, 1 @ GV/mid hook, 2 tiny @ GV/ ascending. Follow up if they take root.
