In general Hard cane den. are tall strong canes with few large blooms, this one produces very tall spikes with few large blooms.

LIGHT: very bright light
WATER:  plenty of water and fertilizer in active growth
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix in a well drain pot.
I like to use tall clay pots or wood baskets.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   intense velvety dark pink with fine white margin at the edge of septal. Glowing green/yellow throat. Very tall spikes with blooms about 3 inches diameter.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

KEY FEATURES: hybrid.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant arrived from Hawaii in a 4” plastic pot in Orchiata mix. Mature size with very tall spike in bloom.
Jan. 2016: (1) 4” plastic, still in bloom.
Feb. 2017: (1) clay 4”R
July 2017: Moved to: Cork Tower (4th /4 sections), bottom section. 
July 2022: Located @ CT, plant is DEAD. Not exactly know the reason. Cut dry stocks and left the plant base mounted since it is heavely incorporated to the cork.
