In general Hard cane den. are tall strong canes with few large blooms, this one is a small to miniature compact plant with blooms that persist for a long time.

HEIGHT X SPREAD: miniature/compact

PLANT TYPE: Orchid -Evergreen
GROWTH RATE: Moderate
TEXTURE: bold

LIGHT: very bright light
WATER:  plenty of water and fertilizer in active growth
high humidity 60-70 %

SOIL: Pot in Orchiata mix in a well drain pot.
I like to use tall clay pots or wood baskets.
As observed in Coastal NC.

BLOOMS:   Striped pink flowers on compact-miniature plant.

FRUIT  AND  SEED: N/A, propagate by  division.

KEY FEATURES: hybrid.
A year cycle in the life of ...... at Mooring Hitch

Plant arrived from Hawaii in a 4” plastic pot in Orchiata mix. Mature size with spikes in bloom.
Jan. 2016:(1) 3” clay pot.
Feb. 2017: (1) clay 3”T
July 2017: (#1006-1)moved to Cork Tower (2d./4 sections) second section down.
Dec. 2017: (#1006-2)mounted on Top Circle of “Figuer 8 mount”.
Feb. 1, 2018: (#1006-3) arrived in 2.5” pk pot, left as received.
Feb. 10, 2018: #1006-3 mounted on Cork - Tube /Short- 2d. row between #1164- #1165.
Also removed Keikies from new plant. Added #1006-4 to Cork Tower/ sect. 4
Added #1006-5 to Figure 8 /Grapevine/ Bottom circle. DEAD 4/2020
A total of (4) plants
Jan. 2022: #1006-1 @ CT, main plant dead, however, keiki is doing well at same spot.
